During winter and kaamos time (the darkest and most magical time of the year) you can enjoy

Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus is a modern hotel in the heart of Rovaniemi and offers high quality accommodation, restaurants and conference services.
Superior room
Superior rooms are bit larger than standard rooms, from 22 to 32 sqm. The rooms have a twin bed, and two extra beds can be made on a sofa. Most of the rooms are facing south or west.
The basic amenities of all room types are: TV, minibar, internet access, safety box, adjustable heating, air-conditioning, electric kettle, ironing board, trouser press, bathtub, shower, hair dryer

DAY 1 /Arrival in Rovaniemi (D)
On your first day in Rovaniemi, in the lively capital of Lapland, you will have private transfer from Rovaniemi airport to your accommodation Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus. The hotel is situated in the city centre, close to all services.
Take some time to settle down and enjoy the beautiful wintry city view from the hotel’s window. If you wish to go to the sauna and relax after the journey, you can easily enjoy the sweet warmth of Santa Claus Hotel’s evening sauna. It will give you a good night sleep and a fresh start for the coming day.

DAY 2 / New Year’s Eve (B,D)

12:45- 15:15 HUSKY SAFARI 10KM
Wintertime safari with husky teams. After a short drive from town, you’ll arrive at a husky farm, where these friendly dogs will bark an enthusiastic welcome to you. Before departing on the safari, you will be given instruction on how to control the sleds. Once you return to the farm, enjoy some hot berry juice by an open fire and chat away with the head musher about these amazing northern animals.
Decorating Christmas trees and gingerbreads at Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus. Santa Claus will visit the Hotel Santa Claus in the evening. Small gift for children from the Hotel and max. one gift/child from the family (reasonable size gift).
New Year’s Eve Gala Buffet Dinner
Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus welcomes you to join the gala dinner on the 31st of December.
22:30 – 01:00 MYSTICAL NEW YEAR’S PARTY
At Lapland’s magical border of the Arctic Circle, the festivities will be held for welcoming the New Year. Fire, ice, darkness, snow, lights, music, dance – are the combined elements that create a magical event for the whole family.
The mysterious fortune tellers fuel the atmosphere as the New Year approaches – Santa Claus himself will also pay us a visit! A giant snow disco, snow bars, mighty fireworks display and the spectacular New Year Dance Show definitely conjure up a memorable entirety. Participate in Finnish New Year traditions and get ready to have your fortune told by the tellers. The event will take place by the snowy banks of the Ounas River, in an idyllic winter setting.
DAY 3 / New Year’s Day (B,D)

Start the New Year 2020 with a delicious Scandinavian buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Enjoy the feeling of excitement and wait for the new adventures ahead of you!

Scan the arctic night sky on a snowmobile looking for the Northern Lights
Experience the Arctic night by driving through the snowcovered forest and on the frozen river. With a little luck, you’ll travel under a bright sky lit by the moon and the stars. Perhaps the Aurora Borealis – the Northern Lights – will appear to show you the way. Sip warm beverages and savor a snack by a campfire and learn more about the Northern Lights and Lapland.

The check-out time is at 11:00 so if you have an afternoon flight there is a complimentary luggage storage at the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
